Carabiner Club

Branding // Social Media
2025 - present
Carabiner Club is a trans masc/men focused FLINTA+ community in Southampton that has monthly meet ups. Six months after the group was formed, the founding team and I decided to do a complete rebrand to represent the community and members that were coming.
I started by finding out what the team wanted to represent and what colours, shapes and iconography they related to. The main icon is a carabiner, which is now used as the main logo.
For the fonts, we discussed something eye catching but almost racer-esque, but also very different to other social group's branding in the area and readable. Racing Sans became the perfect combination for the main headings, while Gotham is used for body copy.
The colour scheme is made of traditionally masculine colours, but with the orange to balance it out and create a more gender-neutral pallet.
Instead of adding block colour backgrounds, the team were really keen to use gradients, so I made a selection of them to be used on rotation.
I chose to have the text "Carabiner Club" on the social posts instead of the logo, as it could be used on any background, gradient or image, and keep a consistent branding throughout the socials.
Overall I'm really happy with how the branding has turned out and I'm excited to see how it evolves while the group is running.
